Cookie policy

Information about the use of cookies on our website.

Last updated: August 19, 2026

1. What are cookies?

A cookie is a small text file that a website stores on the user's browser. Cookies make it easier to use and navigate a website, and they are essential to how the internet works, bringing countless benefits to the delivery of interactive services.

The website https://youhomey.com (hereinafter, "the website") uses cookies and similar technologies (such as browser local storage) to gather information about how it is used.

2. Purpose of cookies

We use cookies for the website to work correctly, to remember your privacy preferences, and — only if you give us your consent — to analyse in aggregate how the site is used so we can improve it.

3. Types of cookies we use

According to the entity managing them:

  • First-party cookies: sent to your device from our own domain.
  • Third-party cookies: sent from a domain managed by another collaborating entity.

According to how long they remain active:

  • Session cookies: collect and store data while you access the website.
  • Persistent cookies: the data remains stored for a defined period.

According to their purpose:

  • Technical (necessary): enable navigation and the use of the site's essential functions.
  • Analytics or performance: help us understand in aggregate how the site is used, only with your consent.
  • Marketing/advertising: would, in the future, allow us to manage and measure advertising. We currently do not use any cookies in this category (see section 4).

4. Cookies and similar technologies we actually use

Unlike a generic list, these are the ones that genuinely exist on our site as of this update:

First-party cookies (technical and essential)

  • Name: yh_consent
  • Purpose: stores the cookie categories you have accepted or rejected, to remember your choice and avoid showing you the banner again on every visit.
  • Duration: 365 days.

Analytics (Google Analytics 4) — technically ready, pending activation

We have the technical integration with Google Analytics 4 ready, using Google's consent mode (Consent Mode v2): by default, all analytics tracking is denied, and it would only be activated if you expressly tick the "Analytics" category in the cookie panel. This integration is currently pending final activation. Once it is active, and only if you accept this category, cookies such as _ga and _ga_[container ID], managed by Google, could be set, lasting between 1 minute and 2 years depending on the type. More information: Google Privacy Centre.

Marketing/advertising

We currently do not use any advertising pixel or cookie (Meta, Google Ads, TikTok or others). The cookie preferences panel includes this category prepared for the future, but today it does not activate any real service. If we add tools of this kind in the future, we will update this policy before activating them.

Third-party connections that are not cookies, for transparency

  • Google Fonts: we load fonts from Google's servers (fonts.googleapis.com / fonts.gstatic.com). According to Google's documentation, this method does not install cookies, but it does involve a real connection to a Google server when the page loads.
  • Redsys (payment gateway): when booking a property, your browser is redirected to Redsys/CaixaBank's servers to process the payment. Any cookie installed from that point on is managed by Redsys under its own privacy policy, not ours.

5. How to manage cookies

You can manage your cookie preferences in two ways:

  • Directly on our website: click , the link/button you'll find in the footer of any page on the site, to reopen the preferences panel and change your choice whenever you want.
  • Through your browser settings, where you can allow, block or delete cookies. Help links for the main browsers:

youhomey may amend this Cookie Policy in response to legislative or regulatory requirements, or to reflect real changes in the cookies and technologies we use (for example, if we finally activate Google Analytics 4 or add advertising tools in the future). Users are advised to review it periodically.
